The Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park, jointly administered by the Edison Memorial Tower Corporation, Township of Edison, and NJ DEP Division of Parks & Forestry, commemorates the historic site where Thomas Alva Edison created the world's first industrial research and development laboratory. The center features the iconic 131-foot Art Deco Edison Memorial Tower, a museum of original phonographs and incandescent bulbs, guided tours, and access to surrounding Edison State Park nature trails.
