Established in 1968 by Mrs. Coretta Scott King, The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change (The King Center) is the official living memorial and programmatic nonprofit dedicated to preserving and advancing the legacy, teachings, and philosophy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Located in Atlanta's historic Sweet Auburn neighborhood, the campus features the outdoor crypt of Dr. and Mrs. King, the Eternal Flame, Freedom Hall exhibits, and the King Library and Archives.
